About ReserveWatt
ReserveWatt is a small, independent site run by Jeremy Kelly. It helps people pick portable battery power for ordinary home outages: keeping a refrigerator cold, a router online, phones charged and a few lights on.
How the guides are made
Our reviews and comparisons are research-based. We compile them from manufacturer specification pages, user manuals, support documentation and other public information, and we link those sources at the end of every guide so you can check them yourself.
We have not performed hands-on testing of the products we cover. We do not claim to have measured runtimes, noise, charging speed or build quality. When we quote a figure like "full charge in 56 minutes," it is the manufacturer's claim, and we label it that way.
- No fabricated star ratings, testimonials, test results or "lab" data.
- No static prices — prices change daily, so check the retailer.
- If a spec conflicts between sources or could not be verified, we say so rather than guess.
- Every guide shows the date its specs were last checked.

Safety note
Portable power stations are not a substitute for professional electrical work, medical-grade backup or a proper uninterruptible power supply for critical equipment. If you rely on powered medical equipment, talk to your equipment provider and your utility about an outage plan.
